In the distant future, a congregation chants to the tune of a stirring hymn. In the present day, pop group Boysound celebrate their eighth week at the top of the charts with their hit single Party Life 2000.
Ravaged by millennia of climate breakdown, Britain is underwater. The cassette recordings and football stickers left by a 1990s, millennium-bug-obsessed, teen inspire a faith where Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt is worshipped as a God.
This was a rich and varied experience for us, touching on so many areas of our expertise; we created a dense and alien tropical naturescape, recordied the vocal acrobatics of the incredible cast, pastiched a few different musical tropes of the turn of the millennium and sang our own boyband smash, complete with slightly nonsensical Max Martin style lyrics.
