John Daker was a band of four humans and one unsavoury animated character.
Two Skillbardæns (Vincent and Tom) joined animator/director Sophie Koko Gate and artist/illustrator Rachel Sale in a meme-influenced dadaist pop cum art ‘n’ b band. We acted as Musical Directors; co-writing, producing and performing alongside our human and animated bandmates.
Formed for the stage, we don’t have much recorded material to share but, please believe us, it was the best music you’d ever hear in your entire life.
We performed at animation festivals around the world and even supported one of our musical heroes, art-rock, clever clog, cult fun legends The Chap.
